- Current Website URL (Domain Checking): The extension checks the domain of the active website you are visiting against our database of supported shopping websites. This check is done to know when to show you available coupons. We do not store or track the pages, products, or URLs you visit.
- Local Storage: We use Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local) to save your local extension preferences (such as your chosen display language or dark mode toggles) and to temporarily cache available coupons so the extension loads instantly. This data stays entirely on your device.
- User Submissions: If you choose to manually submit a coupon code through the extension, the store domain, coupon code, and description you provide are sent securely to our database for review.
3. Permissions Justification
To function correctly, our extension requests the following permissions directly from your browser:
- storage: Used exclusively to save your UI preferences (like Dark Mode) and cache coupon data locally on your machine to improve performance.
- http://*/* and https://*/* (Broad Host Permissions): Used to detect when you are actively browsing an e-commerce website so the extension can automatically wake up and inject the relevant coupons.
4. Affiliate Links and Monetization
To keep this extension 100% free for everyone, we use affiliate links. When you click on certain store links or coupons within the extension, you may be redirected through an affiliate network. If you make a purchase after clicking these links, we may earn a small commission from the retailer at absolutely no extra cost to you. This tracking is handled entirely by the retailer and their partner networks; we do not track your purchases.
5. Third-Party Services
We utilize Supabase as our secure backend database to host and retrieve our active coupon codes and list of supported stores. When retrieving coupons, your browser makes standard API requests to our database, but no user-identifier data is transmitted alongside these requests.
6. Selling of Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data under any circumstances. Our revenue is generated exclusively through the explicit affiliate links mentioned above—never by selling user data.
7. Children's Privacy
Our extension is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
